Privacy Policy

SsukGarim has no account registration or ads, and does not track you across other apps or websites or use third-party analytics SDKs. Selected photos, the text in them, and face detection results are never sent to the operator’s servers.

Photos and face detection

Only photos you select or share are used for editing. Face detection and covering run on your device. Faces are not used to identify people, and face data is not stored separately. Editing state is cleared when you close the editor.

When you save a photo, we request permission to add to your photo library. Edits are saved as a new image without changing the original. You can delete saved images in Photos.

Information sent to our server

Getting new brushes. The app connects to our server to download the brush list and brush images. These requests contain no photos or personal information. As with any internet connection, the server and hosting service may process connection information such as your IP address.

Sending feedback (optional). When you send feedback in the app, we receive the feedback type and text, your platform (iOS or Android), the app version, and a reply email address if you choose to enter one. We use it to fix problems, improve the app, and reply to you. Reply email addresses are deleted automatically one year after submission and feedback text after three years, and we delete them without delay if you ask.

Sending usage data (optional, off by default). Only if you agree, the app sends app opens, editor visits, selected brushes, save and share attempts and their results (with an error type if one failed), how the app was opened (directly, from a photo, from sharing, or with a sample), your platform, the app version, a random install ID, and a random ID for each save. We use this only to see which brushes are popular and whether saving works, so we can improve the app. The install ID is not linked to your email or feedback and is never used for ads or tracking. Usage data on the server is deleted automatically after 90 days. You can turn this off anytime in the app’s Privacy Policy screen; turning it off deletes pending records and the install ID from your device.

When we receive feedback or usage data, a transformed value of your IP address is used briefly to limit excessive requests. It is not stored with your feedback or usage data.

Service providers and international transfer

Our server and storage use cloud services from Cloudflare, Inc. (USA): Workers, D1 and KV. Feedback and usage data may therefore be stored and processed on servers outside the Republic of Korea. Data is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) each time the app sends it and is kept for the periods above. If you do not send feedback or usage data, nothing is transferred.

Local storage and sharing

Your selected cover style and downloaded brush lists and images are saved on your device. Temporary images may be created for sharing and removed when sharing ends. Files may remain after an interruption; the share extension clears old temporary files on its next launch. Deleting the app removes its local data.

Sharing to another app is subject to that app’s privacy policy. Synchronization through Apple services such as iCloud Photos follows your settings for those services.

Purchases

Payments and purchase restoration are handled by Apple’s App Store. SsukGarim uses StoreKit to verify access and does not receive card numbers or payment passwords. Apple’s privacy policy applies to payment information.

When you contact us, your email address and information you choose to provide are used to respond and resolve issues. Please do not send unnecessary sensitive information. You can ask to access, correct, or delete your support records and in-app feedback at the same address. Unnecessary records are deleted after resolution, except where retention is required by law.

Usage data is stored only with random IDs, so we cannot tell who you are from it. If you turn usage data off in the app, sending stops and records on the server are deleted automatically after 90 days.

Policy changes will be announced in the app and on the public policy page with an effective date.
